We enjoy this place and frequently pop in when we want something fast, relatively healthy, and reasonably priced. Though Pho is one of their signature dishes, I actually prefer their noodle soups, the barbecue pork won ton soup with rice noodles and shrimp is one of my faves. Another must-try here are their bowls. The lemongrass grilled chicken and grilled pork bowls with vegetables and rice vermicelli noodles are both outstanding. One thing I think they could improve on are their side sauces. The peanut sauce is basically tasteless and bland and the fish sauce is fair but is missing something. It's just kind of meh. I also feel that, while the service is adequate, it could be a bit more attentive. The last couple of times we were there, our server never checked back with us or refilled our water glasses. And often we find ourselves having to chase down our bill up at the counter which isn't a huge deal but sometimes they bring it to the table so the protocol is inconsistent. Lastly, please keep the heat on. At times, it's been so cold that we've had to eat with our coats on.
Decided to come a second time and I would definitely give 5 stars this time! Decided to get the pho with no protein because last time I just wasn't a fan of the brisket, and it was 10/10. Also ordered the vermicelli and it was amazing! I did ask for the chicken to have teriyaki Sauce on it tho, but you could choose not to. Just like last time custom service was amazing, and the restaurant was very clean and quiet.
We were on our way to Portland and were hungry but not many spots were open as it was late in the evening. This pho restaurant popped up on our maps and we decided to give it a try. At first impression, we noticed that we were the only customers inside and were a little bit reluctant to eat here but decided to stay as there were not many options open. We ordered the beef pho special, egg rolls, spring rolls, and teriyaki chicken. To our surprise, the food was delicious and had a very authentic Vietnamese flavor. The pho had that staple aroma from the spices and had a big portion of meat. The egg rolls and salad rolls were also very good. Overall, I would highly recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area. The service was also great with our server being attentive but not overbearing. It is definitely an underrated spot that deserves the attention!!
The food was delicious, restaurant is clean and modern and the customer service is excellent! The combo woven plate is great as a shared appetizer or an entree. The PT Good rice plate has a good variety of items. Entrees are generous portions.
Clean tasting food prepared with care, We enjoyed Pho PT's rice noodle bowls. Each component was prepared well. The rice noodle bowls tasted great Service was fast, friendly and efficient.
It appears there is a new ownership.. this is the first time I visited the restaurant since the new ownership. I ordered the take out. It was fast with good service Everything is delicious and not too salty at all. Tasty noodle soups with lots of veggies and meats. Highly recommended!
Came by Pho PT Good while in Lake Oswego and was craving Vietnamese food. This is a newer restaurant in the area. We came with a group of 5 on a weekday evening. It wasn't too busy as it was a bit later in the evening compared to typical dinner times. We ordered a bunch of items including calamari, grilled pork banh mi, homemade sausage, PT good plate, woven rice combo, super vermicelli bowl, pho good special, and sugarcane shrimp. My favorites were - sugarcane shrimp: tasty flavor and the sugarcane was very juicy - super vermicelli bowl: a crowd favorite with great flavor - woven rice combo: another crowd favorite with great tasting meat, fresh veggies, and more sugarcane shrimp. - pho good special: generous sized bowl of pho with comforting flavor As one of the very few, if not only, Vietnamese spots in Lake Oswego, this is definitely a great spot. The service is really friendly. Prices are a bit higher but the servings are mostly quite generous and everyone was very full.
I was visiting some family in the area and they mentioned there was a new Vietnamese spot nearby that we decided to try out. We came in with a party of 5 on Wednesday night around 7:30 PM or so and there were a few parties dining but as soon as we got some food, it cleared out. Would recommend: - Sugarcane shrimp - a little burnt but flavor was there. Sugarcane was a little dry and hard. A little pricey for 2 pieces - hoping it was one off - Pho Good Special - decently sized and the broth flavor was there to my surprise! Would recommend - Super vermicelli bowl - this was our favorite dish of the night. Very fresh veggies. - Woven Rice combo - the meat was really good, sugarcane shrimp was less burnt, the veggies were very fresh, the nem nuong flavor was ok imo but the family loved it. All the meat was cooked well. - PT good plate - same dishes, the shrimp was a little burnt. The shrimp bean curd, wish there was more bean curd but flavor was there! Grilled pork was good! - thai tea - was super good, very well balanced not too sweet - Homemade sausage (nem nuong) Banh mi - Grilled pork Banh mi - both were good!! A little pricey but good for a craving Would not recommend: - green thai tea - incredibly thick and sweet? Completely different from the thai tea - I would take this off the menu if you don't know how to make it - calamari - dry and tough. It was the end of the day so seemed like they reheated it from the day. I noticed was the fish sauce tasted a little watered down for my taste but that's my preference as a Vietnamese person Service: The servers were very friendly and accommodating! Overall, a pretty decent spot if you're in the mood for Vietnamese food. The prices are on the higher side but the portions are a lot bigger than anticipated. With all the dishes, we were able to fully feed a family of 5 and take two sandwiches home for the next day. I'd come back to give them another chance as we did come close to closing and they are just opened. Good luck!
